Poverty and fatal diseases are the threats that haunt the human beings at the moment. We can hardly help eliminate this menace from the world. However, we can do a lot to reduce the pain the victims undergo. There are many mentally and physically challenged persons living in our close proximity whom we fail to see or pretend not to see. The MESSENGERS are committed in their effort to extend a helping hand. Mr. Mahadevan popularly known as ‘Mahan’ was found sleeping on the veranda of a shop in a pathetic condition. He was given financial and medical aids. He was shifted to an Old Age home with the help of an affluent organization.
Mrs. Rehmath is undergoing untold suffering and agony as her both kidneys failed to function normally. Message extended its helping hand to this poor and hapless woman. She was given financial help thrice. The messengers also sought the help of other organizations and handed over the amount collected from High Court Employees’ Association and KSEB Employees’ Association.
Cancer can be fatal if not diagnosed early. This euphemistically known wasting disease is smiting people in the coastal areas especially Muthukulam and Chingoli. Medical Camps and awareness camps are being organized in these areas off and on. Nevertheless people suffering from cancer are on the rise. Message identified some victims of cancer and gave financial aid.
